During March/April this year, I took a module called "Global Citizenship". This module was very meaningful and I learnt alot from it. Firstly, we are all global citizens. And as global citizens, it means that we are all citizens of this planet Earth, no matter which country we belong to. Now, Mother Earth needs our help. With the rising sea levels, climate change, pollution, etc, we all need and can do something about it. Everyone can make a difference, even if it is just one person.
One way you can show your support and do something for Mother Earth and the environment is to take part in the National Environment Agency (NEA) Eco Music Challenge 2010. The NEA Eco Music Challenge 2010 is an online song-writing competition for talented and passionate individuals to express their appreciation and support for our beautiful environment through music. So if you are a budding songwriter or an environment activist, this competition is for you. There are fantastic prizes to be won, cash prizes of up to $13, 000!
And the best part of this competition? The top 10 finalists will undergo a special mentorship programme with Singapore's veteran composer and singer songwriter, Clement Chow, and have a chance to pit their skills at a finale concert on 23 October 2010. The winning song will even be selected as the official Clean & Green Singapore song for 2010!
So what are you waiting for? Head on down to http://nea.ecomusic.sg/eco_music.html and submit your song! Submission ends on 29 August 2010.
Together we can make a difference so, let's go green! :)
