THERE WAS A FREAKING HAILSTORM IN PERTH TODAY AND I WAS THERE AND SAW THE WHOLE THING!

A pretty bad one too I would say! But it was a once in a lifetime experience though. I probably won't get to experience this in Singapore. Ice falling from the sky? This is something that would definitely NOT happen in Singapore.

Those ice were pretty huge, around the size of strawberries? The news said it was the size of golf balls but I don't remember seeing any ice that big though. IT WAS AWESOME FUN cos it looked like snow! The whole field was covered in white and the boys were actually sliding down the slopes that were blanketed in ice. There was also vapour all around! How cool is that!

BUT but but, the aftermath isn't fun, AT ALL. Lots of ducks/birds were either killed or badly injured. I saw this duck with a gaping whole in its head and it was bleeding. You can tell that they are in much pain by the way they are quacking. The floors, roads, everywhere was covered in mud, leaves, twigs, branched and most places were flooded. We sloshed through barefooted through all of that! I saw a metal dustbin which looked like it had bullet holes through it from the pelting ice. See the impact? Cars were like dented and power supply was cut of in 150, 000 homes.

And there was a landslide behind the apartment I am staying at! See? Not nice at all.
But still,  it's a once in a lifetime experience. And I am just here for an exchange programme! Today was the first day of school for us too, how nice right.

Oh and do you know I was just casually saying during lunch today that I wanted to see a hailstorm and VOILA! It starts hailing after awhile. I should have said I wanted to see snow. LOL.

Pictures and videos will be up when I get the chance.
Talk to you guys soon.

Bye.

HELLO FROM PERTH!!

Hi hi hi guys, I am in Perth now. Just a little update as I have internet connection that is limited. We can't exceed 2 GB usage of data if not there won't be anymore connection.

The weather here is really awesome. Especially from 3 pm onwards. But after 5, 6 pm it can get quite cold. The apartment we are staying at is quite good too.

Food here is expensive. The cheapest food here are the fast food outlets. The rest are like 10 Aussie dollars and above. But we went shopping today and we got lots of stuff, a fruitful trip I would say. I am extremely pleased with the things I got from Billabong and Roxy.

Photos will be up soon cos we took lots!  :)
I kinda regret not bringing my DSLR along though.

Okay, talk to you guys soon.

My teacher's house is damn gorgeous!

I am so shagged now. I woke up at 7 am everyday this week! I really wonder how those JC students do it haha. It's only 5 days but I can't take it anymore. But, I can finally have a good night's rest tonight. :)

Went to Little India today for the GC field trip. And we had to complete worksheets! It's so secondary school right! It was pretty boring. I mean how fun can it get walking around under the sweltering heat trying to search for answers to the worksheet?

But after it ended, we went to Mr Guo's house. That was FUN. His condo is SO DAMN GORGEOUS. It has an escalator up to this area which looks like a hotel lobby with posh red chairs and artsy paintings hung on the wall. And do you know the lift has air-con and LED lights that light up the interior. It changes colour every few seconds. Oh and there's a tv in the lift! How cool is that?

I know I sound abit "... ..."  but it's the nicest condo I've ever seen! Anyways, it's located at Tanjong Pagar, so it's really expensive. I forgot the name of the condo though. But I think you can recognize from the pictures below. :)

This is his condo! Ain't it grand?
The seats at the clubhouse. I always loved chairs like this. Very resort feel.
And then, the most hilarious thing happened at the Jacuzzi pool! Fiona fell inside it cos she missed a step. HAHAHA. Everyone was laughing so hard cos it was so funny. And she wanted to pull Jeanette in as well. (see pictures below)
Her phone's spoilt. But think on the bright side? A new phone!
See? Fiona's trying to pull Jeanette down hahaha. And Jeanette's like trying to hold on for her dear life.
This thing is so cool. It's like a pavilion. But it can move! Just like a swing although you get dizzy after a while cos it moves in a circular motion.
Keith was trying to sway us in the pavillion.
The guys went into the pool! They didn't care although we had scape training after that. Hahaha.
Checking our results on Mr Guo's laptop. Denis actually has the cheek to complain when he has to TWO Zs!! Wth, complain to me somemore! My GPA and his GPA, huge difference la!
LOL @ Shiva's face.
With the girl who fell into the Jacuzzi pool.
With mon at scape*

All the above people except Monica are the group I am going to Perth with. So, I think the Perth trip is going to be really fun with all the fun people! I am so excited!! It's this coming friday!

Now, who wants to send me off? It's a 9 am flight by the way. Haha. :)

P.S: All the above shots were taken with a digital camera, not my DSLR. Seriously, after using a DSLR for so long. You will think that a digital camera sucks. Eg: the quality of the picture. And you can't play around with the the aperture, shutter speed, even the ISO! Kinda boring cos the picture looks boring?

But I don't like bringing my DSLR everywhere, it's heavy and bulky and I am really scared it will get whacked or banged against a hard surface or something.

Oh well.

Some Mobile Uploads To Share. :)

Hi guys. Sorry for the lack of updates. Been busy with lots of things recently. Photoshoots and the preparation for the Perth trip.

Speaking of the Perth trip, do you know that I have to be in school EVERYDAY at 8.55 am for the lessons?! And the thing is, I CANNOT be late if I not I will fail the module. I really hope I will be on time!

And then next week, there's also training for stop press and The New Paper at scape*. It's going to be a packed and crazy week.

The Aussies are back in Perth already. Hoped they enjoyed themselves during their 3 week stay in Singapore. :) It's going to be our turn soon. Can't wait. And I hope my luggage doesn't exceed 20 kg. Hahaha.

My very cute and extremely smart cousin! He's REALLY smart. So I think pre-natal teaching really works. Or maybe, he's just born smart.
The 5 boys practically glued to the tv, including the youngest, see if you can spot him (the one above)
Hee, tingke. During some game in journalism class.
This photo was taken reeaally long ago. I think my mummy is really pretty. BUT I am really getting very tired of responses like, " Wow, she's your mum?? You two look like sisters!" And then, there was this one sales assistant that thought we were friends! Sheesh. And it doesn't help much that I curled my hair right. Cos curled hair makes you look older.

So what, I look old la? Weird that last time in school, people always think I look 2 years younger. See how much difference hair can make? Haha.
