My CNY 2011.

So, it's the last day of CNY! Time flies doesn't it? Here's how I spent my 15 days. Picture-filled post, as usual! :)

CNY Eve/除夕
Reunion Dinner! A yearly affair which I always look forward to and also because it's the best steamboat I can find in Singapore since I can decide what ingredients I want to add in, some which might not be available at steamboat places. Plus, having it with my family, especially my brothers can be a lot of fun.

Shabu-shabu! After coming back from Japan, my entire family is in love with shabu-shabu.

Sotong ftw!

Day 1/初一
First day of every year is spent at my dad's side.

All the 'kids' from my dad's side; my fellow cousins and my 2 brothers. 2 missing but they aint actually kids anymore anyway haha. We had a great cousin's talk that day as we always do when we meet. Cousin's gathering soon yeah! I will update you guys. In march!

Day 2/初二
Favourite day of CNY every year.

Just had to take a shot of this angbao given to me by my aunt. It's a spongebob angbao lol! Quite a pretty angbao too.
Photobucket
Then it's time for all the kids to take a picture with our grandmother. Blurry shot but the effect's nice though.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Don't he look like the domo in this picture?
Photobucket
Time to lou-hei again.
Photobucket
Hahaha. The expression on my cousin's face.
Photobucket
Boys and their games. They never grow up do they? Like my secondary school classmates whom I met last month, they are still playing pokemon cards! I was like what???

Day 3/初三
Spent at boss's house completing my film term paper amidst the noise and distraction of people playing mahjong and cards. I played a few rounds after finishing my work but sadly didn't win. Luck wasn't on my side that day.

Day 4/初四
The Royal family's reunion gathering with EME! We first met at 1pm at BTP for a reunion lunch at 刘三阁.
Photobucket
Look at the amount of people we have haha. I think there were about 30 plus and not everyone was present!

And this, is the Daytona gang! We had the most awesome fun playing daytona. Daytona was never so fun man. It really is the more the merrier. We had 8 people playing one race that day. Lots of car-banging, overtaking and overturned cars haha. Looking forward to our next Daytona race when Bryan and Ray are back in Singapore again.

Day 5 to Day 8/ 初五到初八
School lor hahahaha.
But on day 5, I finally went to watch 《大世界》with Royal family and EME.
Then on day 8, put up a CNY performance with Elson at an old folk's home in Tampines (Keng Chiu Happy Lodge) for the elderly. Thank you for having us. The ahgongs and ahmas were a lovely audience and they were very friendly. I enjoyed myself and I hope they did as well.

And after this performance, we went to Onikka at Eastpoint Mall (#01-46) to get clothes for Sunday's MV filming. Thank you Onikka for sponsoring my wardrobe. :)

Day 9/初九
I spent almost the entire day dressed in a yukata, a traditional Japanese costume. Cos in the morning, I had to do a recording for my group's TV demonstration show on how to wear this and in the afternoon, my group was giving a presentation about Japanese culture.

Day 10/初十
Was the day of Serena (our artiste manager)'s wedding. I hosted the dinner together with Boss and Elson. First time hosting without a script when everything was impromptu. Was quite an experience and I think I didn't do too badly? Haha.

After filming, we had dinner by the sea and yatches! Super cooling.

Day 12/初十二
Which was also Valentine's Day. But my valentine this year was my bed and pillows lol cos I was down with a high fever of 39.5! I was feeling unwell since Saturday. And I think I am attributing it to the amount of cashew nuts I ate in the morning. Cashew nuts was a bad bad idea. So well, I think I kinda spread my virus to about 8 (and counting?) people in the royal family. Now, the fever's gone but I am left with a nasty cough. Hopefully, my throat and voice recovers fast in time for this weekend.

Day 13 & 14/初十三和初十四
On MC.

Day 15/初十五
Which is today! Went for a meeting with Boss and Joseph at Life Records and then spent my evening with my family for reunion dinner.

And so, that was how I spent my 15 days of CNY haha.
Not much house-visiting this year but nevertheless, still fun.

Once again, here's wishing my readers a very wonderful year ahead! :)
