I remember when my group presented our magazine (the one I mentioned in my previous blog post) to our lecturer/tutor, we told her our reason for choosing to produce a Japanese themed fashion-lifestyle magazine - because we see a growing demand for Japanese products. (i'm not going to elaborate further yeah, you get where I am going) And we were certainly right. Following the success of its first 3 outlets at Isetan Scotts Level 2, Isetan Orchard Level 1 and 313 Somerset, Dip Drops is opening its fourth outlet in Singapore at Takashimaya!
I was invited to the Dip Drops store opening on 24th March (Sat) and it was a cosy affair.
Really do love vintage luggage. (p.s: the plural form of luggage is still luggage, used to make that mistake myself!)
I adore knit tops so much, it's a pity I can't really wear them often because of our warm and humid weather. Still, I buy them, goodness knows why. I really like the navy striped one (above).
Some of the cardigans they have on the racks.
And the event officially begins.
Telling us more about the brand, which I will share with you here:
"Dip Drops is a casual fashion brand which epitomises the best of feminine looks using essential basic items remixed with sweet and trendy elements. It appeals to young ladies aged 18 and above. Dip Drops is frequently featured in Japanese magazines such as "non-no" and "mina"."
Their latest collection is inspired by the classic and casual Parisiennes of the 1950s; think cute, elegant with a touch of retro. Definitely for the girly girls out there or for those who want that hint of romance in their dressing.
I was very much dressed down that day because I actually used my lunch break (when I was still working at that retail store, so yes that retail store is pretty near Taka) to attend the event. But anyhow, the focus ain't me anyway haha.
The 3 lovely models who posed for my camera. :)
And more models!
They gave us a goodie bag and here's what's inside:
There's a brochure about Dip Drops, the press release, a Dip Drops mineral water bottle, Dip Drops tissue packets and a box of macarons (which I already gobbled up before I took this shot haha)
And a cash voucher.
Spend $400 in one receipt and you will be entitled to a Dip Drops VIP membership. Want to find out more about the brand?
