My BottomSlim Experience [ADV]

 photo P1211138_zpsd5a834ab.jpg
Ok you might be thinking why would I need to go to Bottomslim when I'm already kinda slim. Well cos slim doesn't mean I don't have tummy issues too!

I'm thankful that my metabolic rate is generally quite high so I don't struggle with weight issues. My weight usually stays stagnant, it's usually at 43kg ever since I was in secondary school. BUT, whenever I start a full-time job, my weight always increases by a few kilos! When I had my first "full-time" job in the form of my internship during my last school year in poly, I put on 5kg! Holy shit. I have only myself to blame though cos I actually had a drawer JUST for snacks only hahaha. I snacked alot and sat down alot. I was surprised (more like stunned) when I weighed myself after feeling kinda flabby and heavier. Plus, I also just started modelling for blogshops (what timing right) so it shows in pictures, how unflattering. :/ I dug up some for you guys to see, these were taken in 2011.

As you can see from these pictures, my arms are still kinda skinny and my collar bone is still there. I'm not saying I put on ALOT of weight, but it's a significant amount. Just look at my thighs! Oh and here's probably one of the most unflattering shots of myself I'll ever post on my blog lol.

Check out my VERY visible bulging tummy hahaha.

Ok that awful tummy is long gone now. It's ALOT flatter. Although still not completely flat yet, and who doesn't want a super flat tummy?

Here's me at my skinniest, 42kg, after I completed internship and went back to school.

And here's me now back at my usual weight of 43kg. This was taken just before the Lunar New Year while modelling for one of the blogshops.

But yeah as I was saying, it's frustrating really, cos my rib cage and above (also includes my arms), hardly ever put on any weight! It's always my tummy and below, which I believe is the same for many others too. And a heavier bottom is just not nice, your body just looks heavy and out of proportion. Plus it's also always the bottom half of the body that's hard to slim down. How unfair right, that your tummy, thighs and butt put on weight so easily but also so hard to lose!

I believe I speak for many when I say: your outfit options get restricted when you have a tummy and a heavier bottom. I don't like that. I want to be able to wear whatever my mood feels like without feeling insecure about my tummy. Which is why, I was really excited to try out BottomSlim!

If you've not heard of BottomSlim before, here's a brief desription of what they do:

BottomSlim is the pioneer in lower body slimming and specialises in body shaping solutions for the lower body – tummy, hip and thighs. Using proprietary, clinic-tested slimming techniques and equipment, they help you banish those unsightly lumps, bumps and bulges to achieve the figure that you desire. Their treatments offer you an effective non-surgical alternative to liposuction.

I visited their outlet at Takashimaya/Ngee Ann City and it's a very cosy place, kinda felt more like a spa place actually haha.

The consultation process so they know what issues you wanna be rid of.

And then I was whisked off to take my weight and body fat analysis. I also noticed they have this children's corner, so kids can play when their mum goes for treatment. How thoughtful!

And here's my results:

Weight: 43kg
Height: 1. 63m (honestly, I've not measured my height since I was 16 so I don't know if I've grown or not, but I doubt so lol)
Bone Mass: 2.4kg
Water: 61.4%
Fat: 16.9%

So apparently, my fat percentage belongs to the underfat category. For my age, 32-33% is the normal range. Mine's like half of that range lol. But hey, I still have a tummy so that needs to go whether I'm underfat or not.

Before the treatment! My treatment basically targetted my tummy area and upper thighs which I felt could be smaller to balance the rest of my legs. Here's briefly what my customised treatment - URF and Sonic Slim - did for me:

  • Breaking down of fat cells
  • Improves detoxification
  • Improve blood circulation
  • Toning of muscles
  • Firm and tighten loose skin
  • Reduce superficial layer of fats
  • Removes excess fatty deposit
  • Improves digestion
  • Reduce appearance of cellulite

Post treatment, I felt that my tummy area was alot firmer. It actually felt more toned? Although I didn't even exercise hahaha. And in just one session?? Just lie down (and maybe take a nap too) and let the machine do the job. No need to exercise, perfect for lazy and busy us!

With Emily, she's super friendly and I really enjoyed talking to her. She made me feel very comfortable during the treatment process, always checking to make sure I'm not in any discomfort.
