ExpediaTravelista x Taiwan: JJ S Hotel Tainan

My flight arrived at 8pm and the plan was to head down south to Tainan, then travel back up north to Kaoshiung > Taichung > Taipei. We took the airport shuttle bus to Taipei HSR Station. Do allocate some waiting time for this one because it's possible that you'll only be able to board the second or third bus. The shuttle bus ticket costs NT$30 each, and the journey is about 20-25 mins long. The HSR (bullet train) from Taipei to Tainan is 1hr 43mins long, and that will cost you NT$1, 480 each.

We arrived at Tainan at close to 11pm and took a cab over to JJ S Hotel, our accommodation in Tainan. And after all the travelling, I really liked what I saw when we reached the hotel because it looks very homely cosy. Take a look at the lobby!

JJ S Hotel is a female-orientated hotel. This means that male guests can only stay here if they're with another female guest (a couple). They can't stay here alone or with another male friend, which also means that this hotel is very female friendly (in other words, safe haha). These vending machines you see here sell feminine products and also lifestyle items like coffee capsules.

The bed is a Japanese-style bed, which was surprisingly comfy! I had the impression that beds like these wouldn't be but wow, they were so soft and snuggly I'm glad we were able to sleep in before exploring Tainan haha.

Love love love natural light. It's the best kind of light, for photography especially.

When you check in, they will ask you what time you'd like breakfast to be sent up the next morning. If I didn't remember wrongly, the options were 7am, 8/9am and 10am. We chose 10am haha. And the menu was different types of sandwiches and a cold/hot drink of your choice. I had the pork floss one on the first morning and the bacon one for the second morning, both days I had hot green tea.

I really love the industrial looking bathroom features, like the brass (?) tap you see here, and even the shower head!

And of course natural light is great for selfies hehe. ;)

The next morning, they took me on a little tour around the hotel before we leave for Kaoshiung.

They have a fitness/gym room too! Just look at all the things they have, power packed I'd say!
IMG_6805
They have DVDs on yoga/pilates that one could play on the television and follow.

And a punching bag hahaha.

They also have an alfresco area which is really nicely done up.

And look at these gorgeous vintage-inspired bicycles! You can rent one for as long as you'd like for only NT$100!

With the boy. And also, the best travel companion I can have (aside from my best friend). So glad he was able to make it for this trip with me. :)

For more information about JJ S Hotel, you can check it out over at Expedia here. Expedia's listing on JJ S Hotel is really really comprehensive, I love how much information you can get about your accommodation just from their page - many pictures, details about its location and nearby attractions, hotel features and room amenities of course! I don't think I've ever seen a page on a hotel as informative as this. And if you book your flights together with your hotel on Expedia, it's cheaper, try it!

Next post will be on Tainan! :)
